About Me

Engineering philosophy, in four habits

I'm a Staff iOS Engineer at Nagarro Software, with 10+ years across Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C — specializing in app architecture, performance optimization, and mobile solutions that hold up at scale. Over that decade I've shipped an enterprise banking super-app (Emirates NBD's ENBD X, 150+ services), consumer IoT apps (IKEA Home Smart, NETGEAR Orbi & Nighthawk), and everything in between — while mentoring engineers on iOS best practices, debugging, and modern workflows along the way.

Architecture first. MVVM and MVVM-C, Clean Architecture, SOLID, and modular design — built to stay reliable as a codebase and team grow, not just to look tidy on day one.

Performance & concurrency, deliberately. async/await and GCD used where each actually fits, with performance treated as a first-class concern rather than an afterthought.

AI-assisted, not AI-replaced. Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude are part of my daily workflow, driven by deliberate prompt engineering — used to raise code quality and ship faster, never to skip understanding the system underneath.

Always learning. GenAI & MCP-certified, a Cursor Hackathon team lead, and currently exploring React Native, visionOS, and on-device AI — staying a hands-on builder, not just an architect on paper.

Problem → Architecture → Result

Problem — Upload portals (government, job, exam, KYC) reject files for narrow, mechanical reasons. Generic converters require uploading personal photos and ID documents to a third-party server.

Constraints — No backend, no accounts, no uploads: every step of crop, resize, compress, and format conversion had to run entirely on-device.

Solution — A bare React Native + TypeScript app (native image modules, not Expo) that takes a photo and a portal's stated requirements and produces a file guaranteed to match.

Architecture — Feature-based folders, not layered. A UI-free imageProcessing service holds the crop-rectangle math and JPEG quality binary search as pure functions — testable in Jest, no simulator required.

Trade-offs — Automatic center-crop instead of an interactive crop UI, to avoid gesture-handling dependencies. PDF support intentionally left out.

Result — A working offline-first pipeline with an honest Ready to Upload / Best Effort / Could Not Meet Requirements status — it never silently claims success when a size budget can't be met.

Open Source

On-device AI explorations and tools other engineers use

FindKeep
On-device search across screenshots and photos using natural language — hybrid BM25 + semantic embeddings + tag matching, Vision OCR and SwiftData, entirely offline.

MedsPlain
Scans a medicine label and turns dense dosage text into a plain instruction card using Vision OCR and Apple Foundation Models — no cloud AI, no backend.

ActionBrief
Converts messy notes into a structured action checklist using on-device Apple Foundation Models, with a local NaturalLanguage fallback when they're unavailable.

Multipeer-ChatApp
Swift/SwiftUI framework for exchanging text and images directly between iOS devices over MultipeerConnectivity, with Core Data-backed persistence.

NetworkManager — a lightweight Reachability/internet-connection library in SwiftUI  ·  CustomAlertView — a customizable, reusable alert view for iOS in SwiftUI
