Hi, I'm Konrad 👋

Senior Platform Engineer | Platform engineering enthusiast

10+ years of engineering experience, currently building and automating business-critical messaging and eventing platforms (IBM MQ, Apache Kafka) on Kubernetes at REWE Digital. Previously a Cloud & DevOps Architect designing landing zones, migrations, and Kubernetes platforms across Google Cloud, Azure, and on-premises environments.

I care about developer experience: self-service workflows, GitOps, and automation that reduce cognitive load and let teams ship independently — without giving up reliability or compliance.

Open Source

Most of my open source work lives at PlatformRelay:

  • Kollect — your cluster, in Git, diffable: a Kubernetes inventory operator with CRD-native GVK selection and CEL extraction, exporting to Git, databases, and streams
  • Assent — a deterministic, policy-driven auto-merge gate for self-service config repos, with Kyverno-style YAML policies and CEL
  • MKurator — a Kubernetes operator for IBM MQ platform automation
  • Kubernetes Workshop — a free, vendor-neutral, hands-on workshop: 28 modules, a three-day curriculum, standalone labs, and Slidev decks
  • OpenTofu Workshop — an open-source, hands-on workshop for OpenTofu: write it, test it, scale it

I regularly run enablement workshops on Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, GitOps, and platform engineering — including a three-day Kubernetes curriculum delivered to 64+ participants.
