Nguyễn Đức Huy

kunnic — A CS student interested in language, systems, and music.

KunnicOS Neofetch

Overview

Nguyễn Đức Huy is a final-year Computer Science student at Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He is especially interested in Python, NLP, affective computing, and music technology.

He likes work that is not just useful, but also clear, reliable, and well-designed. A big part of his profile is the gap between strong ideas and real execution: he often thinks like a designer of systems, while still trying to improve as a builder.

What He Works On

  • Research-focused computing — reading papers, designing datasets, planning annotation, and thinking about evaluation.
  • Python-first development — using modern Python tools to solve problems in a practical way.
  • NLP and affective computing — especially projects about language, emotion, and useful research output.
  • Music technology — orchestration, virtual instruments, and the meeting point between computer science and music.

Selected Work

  • VnLyricEmo — a Vietnamese lyric emotion corpus based on full-song annotation and Plutchik's emotion model.
  • Orchestral Medley Project — a long orchestral tribute made with Dorico, Cubase, and VSL.
  • Chordie Clone in C — a MIDI chord display tool written in pure C.
  • Blank-Page Detection Research — a synthetic computer-vision dataset for testing blank-page detection methods.

Direction

In the short term, he wants to grow into serious research and data-focused work, most likely in NLP or affective computing. In the long term, he wants to build work that joins technical skill with artistic sense, instead of treating them as two separate worlds.
