Hi there 👋

I am Manuel de Castro, a Ph.D. Candidate Researcher in Computer Architecture at University of Valladolid (Spain).

I specialize in High-Performance Computing (HPC), including heterogeneous computing, and using high-level programming models and tools to efficiently program heterogeneous and distributed systems. You can read about my research on my ResearchGate page and my Google Scholar page.

I am currently researching the applicability of FPGAs as commodity accelerators for HPC problems (complex tasks of scientific or engineering interest). My efforts focus on the usage High-Level Synthesis frameworks (OpenCL, SYCL, Vitis HLS, XRT) to easily program efficient and competitive FPGA solutions for supercomputers.
