I'm running sccache as a long-lived server (sccache --start-server). After extended operation, typically 12–24+ hours under heavy compilation load, it occasionally reaches a state where new compilations hang indefinitely.
The machine has 32 hardware threads, regularly reaches ~150 system load, and occasionally OOM-kills compiler processes. I suspect the stalls are caused by jobserver token leakage when rustc is killed while holding tokens borrowed from sccache's long-lived jobserver.
