Okkhor CLI

Okkhor CLI is a thin command-line wrapper for Okkhor Core, providing Bangla phonetic transliteration directly from the terminal.

Usage

Basic

okkhor "amar sonar bangla"

Reverse

okkhor --reverse "আমার সোনার বাংলা"

Custom data

okkhor --data-dir ./data "amar sonar bangla"

Short form:

okkhor -d ./data "amar sonar bangla"

If no data directory is provided, Okkhor Core uses its default embedded data.

Stdin

echo "amar sonar bangla" | okkhor

Process a file:

okkhor < input.txt

Reverse:

okkhor --reverse < input.txt

Options

okkhor [options] [text]

-r, --reverse              Bangla → Latin
-d, --data-dir <directory> Use custom data
-v, --version              Show version
-h, --help                 Show help

Building

Clone with the okkhor-core submodule:

git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/okkhor-bn/okkhor-cli.git
cd okkhor-cli

Build with CMake:

cmake -S . -B build
cmake --build build --config Release
