feat(web): add fork quick-action to sidebar thread cards - #161
Merged
Conversation
Hovering a thread card now offers Fork between Settle and Archive, matching the mobile thread-header action (git-branch glyph, same as the Android arrow.triangle.branch mapping). Gated by canForkConversation, with the same failure toast as the context-menu fork. Implemented by Claude Fable 5 via Claude Code.
Review follow-ups: forkThread now no-ops (as an interrupt) while a fork of the same thread is in flight, so a double-click on the new hover button cannot create two forks; the sidebar context menu delegates to attemptFork instead of duplicating the failure toast; README hover- actions sentence mentions the Fork button. Implemented by Claude Fable 5 via Claude Code.

Forking a thread from the sidebar needed a right-click. Thread cards now show a Fork button in the hover quick-actions, between Settle and Archive.
The button uses the git-branch glyph — the same icon the mobile thread header uses for fork (
arrow.triangle.branchon iOS maps to a git-branch icon on Android). It appears only whencanForkConversationallows it and reuses the context-menu fork path, including the failure toast.Private-fork PR, no screenshots per repo policy.
