The name 'puhti' in the comments here and below is misleading. Can this be cleaned up?

Yes, I will still work on cleaning things. Not really ready yet, I just wanted to create a draft to see how this works with GitHub-forks.

This is a rather straightforward PR, but I would like to hear @Adehill take on the changes for gcc 15. Is this something coming in later on? |

making a port for a new CSC Roihu supercomputer. Only GCC15 available.
