pgmetrics: warning: failed to collect from AWS RDS: MissingRegion: could not find region configuration

Hi Team,

I followed the below steps to execute Pgmetrics for Aurora Cluster.

Executing pgmetric command from bastion host using pgmetric v1.16 and v1.17and getting below message.

[postgres@ec2-st-us-bast-1 tmp]$ PGPASSWORD=**** /tmp/pgmetrics_1.16.0_linux_amd64/pgmetrics -h rdstest-instance-1.******.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.com -U postgres --aws-rds-dbid=rds-test-instance-1 -w -o /tmp/pgmetric_16_my_test.txt test
pgmetrics: warning: failed to collect from AWS RDS: MissingRegion: could not find region configuration

Please let us know what we need to do

Can you try setting the environment variable AWS_REGION also before running pgmetrics?

export AWS_REGION=us-east-1
