Summary

  • MarkDown.astro applied dark:prose-invert, flipping article text to light colors under OS dark mode.
  • The site has no actual dark theme — ContentsBlock, body, and Header all use fixed light backgrounds — so the inverted text became near-white text on a still-white card, making article content unreadable.
  • Removed the stray dark:prose-invert class since it was the only dark: variant in the codebase and there's no dark theme for it to belong to.

Test plan

  • CI (lint + build) passes
  • Manually verify article pages with OS set to dark mode: text is dark and readable on the white content card
  • Manually verify article pages with OS set to light mode: unchanged

MarkDown.astro applied dark:prose-invert, but the site has no dark
theme (ContentsBlock, body, Header all use fixed light backgrounds),
so prose-invert flipped article text to near-white on the still-white
content card, making it unreadable under OS dark mode.
