Hi, I'm Tobi

Self-taught developer from Bavaria, Germany. Trained electrician who got into programming in 2019 and stuck with it. I like building real things end to end, from backend systems all the way to shipped products.

Right now I'm going deep on Rust (coming from Java) and running my own iOS app in production.

What I'm building currently

elv8  ·  live on the App Store

A habit and goal tracker for iOS. React Native + Expo on the front, Spring Boot backend, with OTA updates, a secure upload pipeline and server side gamification.

Lightning-fast Maven dependency picker. A global hotkey brings a Spotlight-style window to the front, you type the artifact name, and the finished dependency snippet gets copied to your clipboard.

CubeFile  ·  private (soon to be public)

A modern desktop SFTP/SSH client built with Tauri and Rust, with an embedded terminal and AI integration.

Tech I work with

Languages
Java Rust Go TypeScript JavaScript

Frontend
React React Native Vite Tailwind CSS HTML5 CSS

Backend & Data
Spring Boot PostgreSQL MariaDB MySQL Cassandra Redis

Infra & Tooling
Docker Kubernetes k3s Linux

Mostly Java and Rust these days, on a backend leaning stack, with a small k3s cluster I run for my own projects.
