Backend engineer. I build production services in Java, Python/FastAPI and Node.js, running on Azure.
I came to software from civil engineering. My MSc at USP used a multilayer perceptron to predict the rheological properties of fresh concrete, feeding those parameters into a particle finite element simulation in C++ to model concrete flow — validated against physical slump and L-box tests.
That's the short version: production backend work, with a real background in numerical methods and applied machine learning. I'm most useful where those overlap.
