getting started

cd ~/code/rig
bash scripts/setup-ssh.sh        # generate SSH key, load into agent, add to GitHub
nvm install --lts                # install a Node version

bash scripts/install-macos.sh             # macOS
bash scripts/install-ubuntu.sh            # Ubuntu desktop
bash scripts/install-server.sh <hostname> # headless server (e.g. nuc)

Windows — Git isn't available yet to clone the repo, so bootstrap it first:

winget install --id Git.Git -e
git clone https://github.com/tq303/rig.git %USERPROFILE%\rig
cd %USERPROFILE%\rig
scripts\install-win.bat

After Windows install, run in PowerShell (admin) to debloat:

irm christitus.com/win | iex

After server install:

• tailscale up
• Add <server-ip> <hostname>.local to /etc/hosts on connecting machines to reach it by name
