Warning
The universal board has been split into multiple smaller modules. Reasons:
- some people had issues breaking the board
- people can order replacements without needing to order the whole board
- iteration on individual modules is easier
- hardly anyone used the board in a non-broken fashion anyways, since it was too large for most mowers
Please use the following repos instead:
- hw-module-xesc — carrier to use xESC standalone
- hw-module-charger — charger module
- hw-module-logic — logic board for universal application
- hw-module-gps — module for using Arduino Shield style GPS units with xBot modular platform
This hardware version is in beta state. Expect for things to not work at the current state!
If you want to build an OpenMower, I recommend the tested v1 hardware.
OpenMower is an open-source project that upgrades off-the-shelf robotic mowers into modern, smart lawn mowing robots with RTK GPS technology. For more details, check out the OpenMower project.
This repository contains the design files for a custom mainboard specifically designed for converting YardForce mowers to OpenMower.
This mainboard is compatible with the following mower models: TBD
