Hi, I’m Yanfeng Liu

Software engineer at Google and independent game developer, using AI tools and autonomous agents to build games that were once too ambitious for one person.

Read my game development journal →

What I’m building

  • civ-engine — the game systems and agent-driven production workflow behind an ambitious civilization game.
  • voxel — a voxel graphics engine for building larger game worlds.
  • python_mini_metro — a compact game implementation for experimenting with automated play and reinforcement learning.

The games are the point. Agents are the leverage: they help me prototype, implement, test, and iterate while I set the vision and make the creative decisions.
