# Changelog

## Post-release metadata — 2026-09-23

- Aligned package and citation version labels to the published v1.0.0 release and recorded its publication date.
- Added release navigation and a citation example tied to the exact release commit. The published tag and its archived files are unchanged; that snapshot retains the earlier rc2 metadata labels.

## 1.0.0 — 2026-09-23

[Published release](https://github.com/GoGoKo699/Subset-states/releases/tag/v1.0.0), commit [`d3729b4`](https://github.com/GoGoKo699/Subset-states/commit/d3729b4d4c5e6f4441da469d626c2d998500cfb8).

- Integrated the complete revised manuscript in Markdown, including all 88 numbered equations, two abstract displays, seven figures, four appendices, and 33 references.
- Typeset manuscript and supporting-document formulas with GitHub-native mathematics, with the rendered desktop layout checked on GitHub.
- Added reader and LLM navigation, arXiv citation guidance, and manuscript completeness checks.
- Passed 39 unit/regression tests, the scoped scientific validator, and repository checks; preserved all 51 frozen evidence/license checksums.

## Markdown cleanup — 2026-09-22

- Replaced manuscript-readiness reports with a scoped sanity check, research proofs, reproducibility instructions, and primary references in Markdown.

# Subset states: support size and entanglement

**Release:** [v1.0.0](https://github.com/GoGoKo699/Subset-states/releases/tag/v1.0.0), published 23 September 2026. [Read the release manuscript](https://github.com/GoGoKo699/Subset-states/blob/v1.0.0/PAPER.md) or see the [changelog](CHANGELOG.md).

How does entanglement change when an equal-positive-amplitude quantum state occupies more computational-basis labels? A single label and the full basis both give product states. Random supports in between can give high bipartite entanglement.

This repository contains the [complete Markdown manuscript](PAPER.md), exact finite-ensemble formulas, numerical experiments, and released evidence for that question. The manuscript includes its proofs, appendices, figures and captions, numerical table, author declarations, and full bibliography. **The exact mean-state and purity results survive the September 2026 sanity check. The asymptotic location of the von Neumann entropy maximum and the novelty of the revised research contribution remain unresolved.**

When using this repository's implementation, figures, data, or revised manuscript, include the repository commit as well as the paper citation. The public preprint predates some repository content, so a paper citation alone does not identify the code or evidence used.

For the published release, use:

The release tag `v1.0.0` resolves to commit [`d3729b4d4c5e6f4441da469d626c2d998500cfb8`](https://github.com/GoGoKo699/Subset-states/tree/d3729b4d4c5e6f4441da469d626c2d998500cfb8). Identify the files or figures used alongside this citation. Its archived package and citation files retain the earlier `1.0.0rc2` labels; the metadata correction on `main` does not change the published snapshot.
